Mill Rise is situated halfway along Hammers Lane and can be accessed from the north via The Ridgeway or from the south via the junction at Daws Lane / Wise Lane / Wills Grove.

The A1 trunk road is just a short drive away and for motorway travel the M1 can be accessed at junction 4 via the A41.
